Childhood Memories

I absolutely love Stitched Stories! I recently purchased the Home Sampler pattern and I cannot wait to get started on it. Finding Debbie and Stitched Stories has brought back many happy childhood memories of spending time with my grandmother who taught me how to embroider. She and I would spend many happy afternoons stitching while my grandfather would be practicing his hymns for church on Sunday. My first embroidery pattern as a child was of Sunbonnet Sue which were actually used as quilting squares that my grandmother later made a quilt for me. Thank you Debbie and Stitched Stories for keeping memories and traditions alive.

Home Sweet Home Sampler

I loved the look of this sampler, and I did make a few changes to the color of the threads I used. It took me about 4 days total. I haven’t ironed it yet but I’m looking forward to framing it for a gift for my son and daughter-in-law who recently purchased their first home.

Fun embroidery

I love the distraction that a project from Stitched Stories provides. When life is stressful, grab your fabric, needle and thread and hide from the world for a little while.
